SARAH S. MCNAMARA, PT, DPT, OCS
PHYSICAL THERAPIST
Sarah graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2009 with a Bachelor's in Allied Health Sciences, and in 2012 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT). She is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) offering advanced clinical knowledge and skills in the area of orthopedic physical therapy. Sarah loves being able to work with patients of all ages and particularly enjoys treating adolescents and older adults.
Sarah's practice focus is orthopedics, but she also has a special interest in health and wellness and neurological rehabilitation. She enjoys treating individuals with Parkinson's Disease and she is currently a certified clinician in LSVT BIG (a research-based exercise program for individuals with Parkinson's Disease).
Sarah's areas of interest and focus include:
- Spinal Dysfunction
- Shoulder and Hip Injuries
- Neurological Rehabilitation
- Balance/Fall Prevention
Sarah is a member of the Connecticut Physical Therapy Association and has served as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students from both Quinnipiac and UConn. She enjoys being active, playing volleyball, and as a new mom loves spending time outdoors with her family.
